Description Set in the Herefordshire countryside, this private employer is a special residential school for young people aged 11 ? 19 years who have severe learning difficulties, combined with difficult and challenging patterns of behaviour.
Main responsibilities are to maximise the potential capabilities of all Residents ? physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. The school?s specific aim is to approach problems in a positive way, thereby enabling each young person to realise their potential and develop into happy and healthy adults, better able to cope with, and integrate into, a conventional social structure. You will provide care on a one to one basis.
The school offers a purpose built leisure barn including e.g. spa pool, play room and sensory suite, extensive grounds for outdoor activities and many other facilities to promote pupils welfare.
You should have a driving licence and a willingness to drive in the UK and a good level of English. We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 years. To some extent evening and weekend shift work required.
After finishing probation time, the duty of ?Key worker? with an increase of salary can be assigned.
